Getting Here

The Fort Point Channel stands center stage, linking the waterfronts of downtown and South Boston. Easily accessible from South Station and major highways, the Channel is also within walking distance of major Boston attractions including Faneuil Hall, the Seaport District, Chinatown and more.

The Channel can be reached by public transit, boat and car.

By Pubic Transit
The Channel is easily accessible through South Station via the Red Line, Amtrak, Commuter Line, or Bus. Upon exiting South Station walk east one block to reach the Channel. The Number 7 bus also stops in the Fort Point Channel area.

By Water
The MBTA has created a website covering their water transportation routes in eastern Massachusetts: http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/boats. These services are generally inexpensive, a fun adventure for kids, and bring you to piers just a short walk from the Channel. You can park closer to home and not have to worry about driving or parking in the city, too!

By Car
From the North
Take I-93 South to the "Purchase Street/South Station" exit, exit 23. Turn left onto Congress.

From the South
From I-93 North, take the South Station/ I-90 exit, exit 20. Follow signs to I-90E, once in the tunnel take exit 25 follow the signs to "S. Boston". Take left onto Congress

From the East
Take I-90 West to the S. Boston Exit, exit 25.

From the West
Take I-90 East to the South Boston/Logan Airport Exit and take exit 25 South Boston. Keep right towards West Service Road. Take the first right onto East Service Road. At the intersection of West Service Road/Congress Street, turn left.
